Showa Metal Co., Ltd. is a recycling company that contributes to a resource-saving society by turning various specialty steel scraps and high-performance alloy scraps, made from rare metals such as nickel, chromium, cobalt, titanium, tungsten, molybdenum and so forth, into valuable raw materials.

Since its founding in 1985, the company has been providing recycled earth resources and low-cost raw materials comprised of recovered metal scraps that meet customer quality specifications and eliminate waste. This is made possible through Showa Metal’s scrap materials sorting and processing skills and supported by its accumulated experience in the industry. Scrap recovered and recycled as high value-added raw materials is reborn as special metals and high-function alloys used in such fields as aerospace, power plants, factories, and the automotive industry.

Showa Metal Co., Ltd. became a subsidiary of Hanwa Co., Ltd. in 2010 and has been playing an important part in expanding the metal recycling business of the Hanwa Group. The company will continue to pursue higher quality and provide better services to customers by making efficient use of the domestic and overseas network of the Hanwa Group, which carries out business operations that include various products such as steel, ferroalloys, special metals, foods, oil and chemical products.
